pl. Bisepta, adj. Biseptal septal form in thamnasterioid colonial corals in which the septum of one corallite passes directly into a septum of another corallite, hence each septal plate doubles as a septum for two adjacent corallites. Bisepta are widely, but not strictly correctly, referred to as septocostae.
