Heterophyllia Orbigny, 1850, p. 208 is junior homonym (unavailable), see Taxogyra Wells, 1937 (pro Heterophyllia d'Orbigny, 1850 non McCoy, 1849).

Classification

Remarks

Because Heterophyllia d'Orbigny, 1850, represents a junior homonym of the Carboniferous coral Heterophyllia McCoy, 1849, Wells (1937) created the new genus name Taxogyra for d'Orbigny's taxon.
