Type Species

Stylina provincialis Michelin, 1841, p. 26, pl. 7, fig. 8; Original Designation Alloiteau, 1952, p. 609

Type Specimen: Holotype; ; Not Traced; Unknown

Type Locality: Upper Turonian of France (Uchaux, Vaucluse).

Classification

Remarks

In creating the genus Trinacis, Quenstedt (1880, p. 903-904) cleary referred to the taxon Stylina provincialis Michelin as the type species of his newly described form. Alloiteau (1952) used the same taxon to created the genus Heterocoeniopsis.
