Heliastreopsis Chevalier, 1954, p. 145 is a junior synonym (available and invalid), see Montastraea Blainville, 1830, p. 339.
Chevalier (1954) originally described this taxon as a subgenus of Aquitanastraea. In Chevalier (1962), it is indicated as a subgenus of Heliastraea.
