Diagnosis
Colonial. Cerioid. Mono or polycentric calicinal arrangement. Compact septa. Inner distal edge dissociated forming a papillose columella. Pennulae and meniane. Intracalicular increase.
Comparisons
Like Stuoresia and Gumbelastraea, but differing by meniane, by distal edge dissociated forming a papillose columella and by intracalicular increase manner. Like Gablonzeria but differing by absence of abortive septa. Like Latiastrea but differing by compact septa. Like Thecactinastrea but differing by polycentric calicinal arrangement and by pennulae.
