Elasmophyllia de Fromentel, 1873, p. 388 is a nomen dubium (unavailable).

Remarks

De Fromentel (1873, p. 388) created the name Elasmophyllia without giving any description nor any further information on type material, type locality, age, or type species, therefore, it is an invalid name. Later, d'Achiardi (1875) described the taxon Elasmophyllia gigantea, creating a junior homonym. Because d'Achiardi's taxon is considered to be synonymous with Dordonophyllia Alloiteau, 1957, the creation of a replacement taxon is not needed.
