Batotrochus Wells, 1937, p. 239 is junior synonym (available and invalid), see Trematotrochus Tenison-Woods, 1879, p. 59.

Synonymized by Cairns (1979: 112); at one time considered to be a subgenus of Turbinolia (see Wells, 1937).

Type Specimen: Syntype; MCZ ; Verified; Dry Preserved

Type Locality: Recent;: off Cuba, 402-657 m
