Bathytrochus Gravier, 1915, p. 8 is junior synonym (available and invalid), see Fungiacyathus Sars, 1872, p. 60.

Type Species

B. hexagonus Gravier, 1915, p. 8, fig. 3 [=Fungiacyathus (B.) marenzelleri Vaughan (1906)]; Monotypy

Type Specimen: Holotype; MOM ; Lost; Unknown

Type Locality: Gulf of Gascogne, 4380 m.

= F. (B.) marenzelleri. The juvenile type specimen should be at the MOM, but according to Zibrowius (1980) the wrong specimen is curated as the type.
