Description
Conical to subflabelloid simple corallum, proximally curved. Plicate epitheca. Cutting calicular edge. Radial elements are straight free compact septa. Distal edge not observed. Lateral faces with fine granules aligned perpendicularly to the distal edge. Microstructure with a continuous straight or slightly zigzag mi-septal line. No fan system. Hexameral symmetry. Bilateral symmetry determined by the lamellar columella. No synapticule, Endotheca absent or very rare. Septothecal wall made by abortive septa.
Comparisons
Distinct from Distichophyllum, Coryphyllia, Axosmilia and Bathmosmilia by its absence of endotheca.
