This genus differs from Trachyphyllia in having a thin, continuous, lamellar columella.

Type Species

Tarraconogyra comophyllioides Alloiteau, 1958, p. 91; Original Designation Alloiteau, 1958, p. 91

Type Specimen: Holotype; ; Not Traced; Unknown

Type Locality: Campanian of northern Spain (Torallola, Lerida).

The holotype of the type species is housed at MGSB (Barcelona) under 15706.

Comparisons

Like Trachyphyllia but has a thin, continuous, lamellar columella.
