Type Locality: "Le morceau figuré par Knorr a été trouvé à Pfeffingen", Switzerland (?Jurassic)

The collection of Defrance was deposited in Caen, and it was destroyed during WWII. Defrance (1826) cites "Astrea ramosa, Def.; Knorr, loc. cit., tab.90, fig. 3" as the source of this species.
