Type Locality: Tithonian (Upper Jurassic) from Tichau (Czech Republic)
A paratype Coe.1061/18 exists. Sections in samples of the type-species were illustrated in Eliasova (1975) and microstructural features were illustrated in other species by Morycowa (1974) and Kolodziej (1995).
Classification
Description
Phaceloid corallum with elliptical branch sections, covered by a folded and striated epitheca s;l. Mode of increase not observed. Radial elements are compact free unequal septa s.s. , straight to slightly curved. Minor septa attenuated, major septa thickened at the inner edge. Distal edge not observed, inner edge apparently not dentate, lateral faces smooth. No palis. Microstructure unknown. Hexameral symmetry not deciphered, strong bilateral symmetry marked with the very long fossa perpendicular to a cardinal septum. Endotheca with rare steeply inclined tabuloid dissepiments. No columella, no synapticulae. Wall probably pachythecal.
