Classification
Remarks
Re-study of the holotype of the type species by Baron-Szabo in 2009 revealed that it was rather poorly preserved, due to which skeletal structures like corallite walls or septal structures of the polyps were over-emphazised. As a result, those structures appear more solid (e.g. "thick septotheca") than they do in areas of the colony that are in better preservation. The skeletal structures identified in type specimen closely correspond to the ones in the genus Columastrea.
Distribution
- Central Europe; Late Cretaceous
