Classification
Diagnosis
Colonial, massive, plocoid. Gemmation extracalicinal. Costosepta compact, generally subconfluent, confluent occasionally, radially arranged, regularly granulated laterally. Columella irregularly spongy-papillose. Pali present in front of the S1 and S2. Endothecal dissepiments sparse. Wall parathecal.
Comparisons
Differs from Columastrea in having a complete set of S2 pali and generally no septothecal developments.
