Type Specimen: Holotype; ; Verified; Unknown

Type Locality: Upper Turonian to Campanian of Austria (Gosau Group).

The holotype of the type species is housed at NHMW (Vienna) under 1864/XL/1325, Felix collection (=specimen originally figured in Felix [1903] as Latimeandraraea tenuisepta Reuss).

Diagnosis

Colonial, massive, meandroid to subthamnasterioid. Gemmation intracalicinal-terminal and extracalicinal. Corallites separated by tectiform and tholiform collines. Corallites distinct to subdistinct. Costosepta confluent to nonconfluent, perforated, granular and pennular laterally. Columella parietal. Synapticulae present. Endothecal dissepiments abundant, vesicular. Wall incomplete, synapticulothecal, rarely septothecal.
