Classification
Remarks
Recently, Favioseris Wells, 1934, has been grouped with the family Pachyphylliidae (Loeser, 2012, p. 541). However, because Favioseris has numerous dissepiments and lacks both synapticulae and parasynapticulothecal wall, it significantly differs from the family Pachyphylliidae. Members of this family are characterized by sparsely occurring dissepiments and the presence of synapticulae, forming parasynapticulolhecal walls. It should be noted that Loeser (2012, p. 542), described the genus Favioseris as having numerous dissepiments and lacking synapticulae.
