Classification
Diagnosis
Acroporidae which are ramose, branching without an axial corallite, septa up to 14, spinose, not exsert; corallites cylindrical, theca and coenosteum solid; columella and dissepiments absent.
Comparisons
Similar to Acropora except branching not axial and coenosteum solid, plus little variation in corallite shape. Similar to Anacropora except for solid coenosteum and presence of a theca in corallites
Remarks
Although Dendracis is present in fossil deposits throughout the reef-bearing regions, no living representatives have been found
