Type Specimen: Holotype; ; Not Traced; Unknown

Type Locality: Hauterivian of Georgia.

The holotype of A. phaceloides is deposited at GIN in Tbilisi under 375/77.

Classification

Comparisons

The type material of the genus Actinastraeopsis Sikharulidze, 1977, as originally documented in Sikharulidze (1977, p. 71-73,pl. 6, fig. 2, pl. 7, fig. 2, pl. 8, pl. 9, fig. 1, pl. 10, figs. 1-6), shows cerioid polyp integration as well as polyps that are in sub-fasciculate arrangement, the latter of which results in a pseudo-phaceloid appearance.
