Type Species

Anthophyllum sulcatum Michelin, 1845: 197; Original Designation d'Orbigny, 1849, vol. 2, p. 181

Type Specimen: Holotype; M3560; Verified; Unknown

Type Locality: Cenomanian of France (Le Mans, Sarthe).

Diagnosis

Solitary, turbinate, fixed. Costosepta compact, with strong vertical striations or carinae projecting nearly halfway to adjacent septa. Costae reduced. Columella and pali absent. Endothecal dissepiments sparse. Epithecal wall absent.

  • South Asia; Late Cretaceous
