Microsolenidae Koby, 1889 is a junior homonym (unavailable), see Comoseriidae De Fromentel, 1861, p. 60 and 62 (the replacement taxon).
Diagnosis
Simple and colonial. Colony formation by intra- and extratentacular budding. Corallite walls absent or slightly delineated by synapticular rings. Epitheca complete but very thin. Septa thin, regularly fenestrate. Synapticulae abundant, regularly distributed. Pennular edges directed upwards, ornamented with rounded, equal dentations. Endothecal and exothecal dissepiments thin, if developed. Columella parietal or styliform.
